Literature review and baseline study

From January to August 2019

Intro

The SOS project starts with an interdisciplinary research on the three main areas of the project: Physical Activity and Health; Fairplay and Integrity; Life and Employability Skills. A specific research topic is assigned to all Trainers based on their fields of expertise, while School coordinators participate in this activity by filling a questionnaire to get an overview of the specific situation of each partner school. The result is a narrative research with a collection of qualitative data, providing the trainers with the starting point to create the SOS Physical Education teaching sheets.

Description

The research aims at outlining the most important issues tackled through the SOS PE teaching module.

Indeed, it starts with a literature review on the three main areas of the project: Physical Activity and Health; Fairplay and Integrity; Life and Employability Skills. A specific topic is assigned to CUS Padova, CONI, ISJ Bacau and EAS Trainers, following their specific field of expertise, in order to develop a literature review. Research then continues on a baseline study: School Coordinators fill in a questionnaire to share with Trainers information about the specific situation of their Schools.

The result is a narrative research with a collection of qualitative data, providing the trainers with the starting point to create the SOS PE teaching sheets. The study is not only be valuable to the project team but also to any other academic or expert in the field that could be interested in seeing how such research could be carried out in his/her country as well.
